Old things are new again...
My brother-in-law is a surgeon and even in this age of so-called managed care, he lives well enough to send his kids to private school, play lots of golf, and dine at the finest restaurants in Paris. Don't get me wrong, he's a heckuva nice guy and works hard for the money, but its a world away from the old family doctor who made house calls and accepted poultry and eggs for payment....not that any of us would really want to go back to those days when confronted with a serious disease.
Our feature article, however, shows how some manufacturing companies are getting the best of both worlds for their employees and saving a bundle on Health Care costs in the process. Remember company clinics? Well, they're back and, in many cases, employees and managers couldn't be happier. Check outnew contributor Rory Greene's feature article on Medican Home for an informative and thought provoking read.
